I'm not dead I promise
Hello... I can't believe it's been like six months since I've written in my blog. I've been extremely busy. This summer I was taking 12 credit hours and I went on my trip to Colombia. Then work started up again and I'm taking 9 credit hours this semester, I'm working full time, I'm keeping a house clean, planning a wedding, and we got a new dog. Yes, she is super cute and her name is Bridgett. However, she loves creating Lake Bridgett's around the house so I guess I should add potty training to the list. Not to mention, Alvin's cute little 85 year old step- father was diagnosed with bone cancer. Our lives have been very hectic these past six months. In December, when I'm finish taking my online courses, I'll post pictures and catch up a bit more.

Summer here I come
Today is the last day of school... HURRAY!!!!!!! I'm seriously so exhausted. However I'll be bringing in the summer by going camping. Alvin's step-dad gave us his motor home, so this weekend we'll be taking it out for the first time this year. Its an old, awesome, Travco with brown and mustard colored strips running across its sides. Every memorial day weekend Alvin's family gets together for a big camp out. I'm so looking forward to it:)

Enjoying Spring Break!!!
Spring Break is finally here!!!! After dealing with a horrible virus on my school computer (and not being able to blog), and parent teacher conference it was finally time for a break. We started celebrating a bit early by the purchase of a lap top:) We are so excited to finally have a computer and internet access at home. On Saturday the 14th I took my super hard Praxis 11 test, Which I so hope I passed this time. After my test, Alvin and I packed our bags and off to Vegas we went. We were finally off for that long awaited Criss Angel Show and a night at the Luxor. We had such a fabulous time. The show was AMAZING!!! It was a Criss Angel Cirque de Solieil (I think that's how you spell it) production. We were sitting front and center. I was surprised to see how small Criss Angel actually is. But I was super excited to see him up close. There was a part, in which, Criss was lifted up into the air in a restraint jacket. As he was going up he and I made direct eye contact. At that second I was thinking "OMG he's staring right at me and my mouth is wide open, I look so stupid!" When I realized that I should close my mouth we lost eye contact. He probably thought I was a dork!! After the show Al and I hung out and went to bed at about 11:00 pm. That for us, is super late! The next day we checked out and met with Al's mom,step-dad, sister, and brother-in-law. We went to a new casino called the "M" resort. Al's work had painted all of the casino signs that went into that resort. We looked around and then had the most incredible buffet I have ever had!!! We then came home and I've been relaxing and cleaning house since then. The goal for this year's Spring Break is to relax and get caught up on house chores:)

The Reaction
Valentine's day was so great!!!! Al and I always have so much fun together, even if we are just sitting in our living room watching a movie. So Valentine's was an excuse to splurge!! He loved the night at the Luxor and Criss Angel tickets. With enthusiasm in his eyes he asked, "Do you think I have a chance of getting picked to go up on stage?" It was really cute. The night before we had a delicious meal at Red Lobster to begin the early celebration. On V-day my mom was sealed in the LDS temple with my step-dad. So she had a little get together at her house to celebrate. When we left her house I wanted to check out some rugs over at Furniture Row, so off we went. We didn't get a rug but we purchased a beautiful dinette set and three bar stools that matched:) I love getting new stuff for our house. And now when we have company we all have a place to sit during dinner.

Pure Excitement
After having a crappy January(Except for my dad and uncle visiting)... I'm looking forward to celebrating Valentine's day and my birthday this month:) I can't wait to give Alvin his V-day present. One of the things I love about living down here is how close to Vegas we are. So for Valentine's day I'm giving Alvin a letter telling him that I'm giving him an experience. We will be staying at the Luxor and going to the Criss Angel show. I was able to get center section front row seat tickets:) I'm so excited to see his face when he finds out. We love watching Criss Angel's show on T.V so seeing him live will be so super cool. On a different note I got my test results back. It was a really difficult test and if I would have answered 4 more questions correct I would have passed:( But it's ok. I've signed up to take it again on March 14th. Hopefully I'll be better prepared this time around.

Sad Week
On Friday January 9th, Alvin and I received the sad news that Alvin's father, Bill, had passed away. He had a massive heart attack. Sunday- Wed. we were in Las Vegas comforting Alvin's step-mother. Alvin's father, unfortunately, did not leave behind a will. It made things very "up in the air" and stressful. It was very heartbreaking seeing the person you love so much so heartbroken. Bill was happy that Alvin and I were together and would always ask Alvin when we were getting married. He was a very nice man and will be greatly missed.

Big Test
This Saturday I have a huge teacher test I need to take. After Saturday I will update all of you on my super fun holiday vacation. I hope all of you had a Merry Christmas and I wish all of you a Happy New Year:) Oh BTW I saw Twilight. I really liked it! It was fast paced and I didn't get bored watching it. I really enjoyed it.
